Apps to Help with Your New Year’s Resolutions
The new year has just begun. So far, your determination remains strong to keep your resolutions. But as the weeks go by, the key to keeping your momentum might be in your pocket or purse.
Whether it’s eating healthier meals, exercising more or quitting smoking, there’s an app to help you stay on track. Here are a few that are free and available on iOS and Android devices.
- Fooducate “empowers you to achieve your diet, health, and fitness goals,” according to its creators. The app allows users to scan a product barcode to learn about a particular food, and it suggests healthy alternatives. It also has a feature for tracking your exercise and nutrition.
- SparkRecipes is an app from healthy recipes website SparkRecipes.com. It features a searchable database of more than 500,000 recipes as well as tips and video demos.
- Waterlogged and WaterDrinkReminder are – as their names suggest – apps to remind you to drink more water.
- MyQuit Coach and Quit Smoking can help you kick the smoking habit with a personalized plan.
These are just some of the health care apps available to help you with your new year’s resolutions. If apps aren’t your thing, try the Kare-N™ Digital Wellness Therapy program, a habit-building, text message program. As always, consult your physician before you begin any new diet or exercise routine.
