Dr. Huot attended college and medical school at the University of Florida, and completed residency training at the USF-MPM Family Medicine Residency Program. During her residency, she completed a yoga teacher training course at the Yandara Yoga Institute and became a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200).She then instructed a weekly yoga class for the Family Medicine residents and clinical staff at Turley Family Health Center. She also served as Chief Resident during her third year.

Upon completing residency in 2010, Dr. Huot joined a large group practice in Clearwater. After several years cultivating a busy outpatient-based practice, she felt a strong calling back to academia and teaching. In 2015, she began working as a community preceptor with the USF-MPM Family Medicine residents in their clinic a few days per month. In 2018, she transitioned to a full-time faculty position with the program to fully pursue her teaching passion. Her professional areas of interest include geriatrics, women’s health and Functional Medicine. She also serves on BayCare Health System’s Quality and Safety Committee.

In her downtime, Dr. Huot enjoys family time with her husband and two daughters. They love camping and exploring Florida’s state parks. She practices Ashtanga yoga, and also enjoys running and weightlifting. Her other interests include reading, needlepoint, cooking and nutrition.
